alternative to the 512 utilizing a transverse mounted 123 battery. The smaller
length makes this sight well suited to mount with a magnifier to extend the
flexibility of the rifle. Successful as a hunting optic on both the .50 Beowulf®
and the 6.5 Grendel this sight is probably at its best for close range work on
the .50 Beowulf and offers superb both eyes open target acquisition.

Red dot holographic scope system. This is our preferred recommendation for
optical sights for the .50 Beowulf® in LE and military environments. It equally
does sterling service on the .50 Beowulf® in the hunting field where the ability to
shoot with both eyes open on fast moving targets is an advantage for close
hunting shots. We find utility in this sight on the 6.5 Grendel and also the
.17HMR as all around sight. While bulkier than the XPS-2 the availability of AA
batteries makes this a superb choice.
